In our project we try to reuse the existing structures of the open-plan office building and establish a new kind of living within. While public use is planned for the ground floor and the basement, the five floors above will be used for floor living. A meandering residential landscape with shared kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms and communal spaces intersperses the building. With the extension of the building on top, we expand the living space with smaller flats that are connected via a “terrace commun” and grouped around an open staircase.

In contrast to the SBV, our proposal is a changeable addition to the existing building, which can be adapted to changing spatial needs.
